NOT THE FAMILY PARTY 1992
Proposal for combined Family Party/Pikelets Weekend (by Pete)
The idea was to follow up on the weekend when some of us held a weekend with our wives and girl friends at Southend. The proposal was never taken up. There was a Party however at Nick and Val's house so view the slide show.
THE PROPOSAL:-

- Saturday p.m. -- Organise recreation, walk around town, cricket match on the common
- Saturday eve. -- Private use of courtyard with covered area at The Chequers. Hot supper (curry, hot-pot or such). Local musician to be hired, on the understanding that family participation is acceptable.
- Alternative programme of videos, pizzas, games and babysitters for the younger members of the family who require such, in Sal and Petes cellar
- Sunday a.m. -- Recovery, worship, lunch at Chequers.
- To be considered:-
- The weekend is to be considered on a menu basis, with people opting in to which part they like. Early arrivals or late departures are acceptable
- Accomodation can be provided as per Pikelets 1990, using a mixture of friends, neighbours and fee-charging establishments. The cost will be borne equally by those using the facility.
- The account would provide meals, babysitters. videos etc. The Chequers would provide supper and Sunday lunch at around £4.00 per person, but would not charge for the facilities. People would buy their own drinks, and pay for B&B.
