ACHIEVEMENTS OF YOUNGER GENERATIONS 2016
- Both Lucy and Charlie did fabulous walking over their Inter railing holiday (averaging 10 miles a day) - not too bad for little legs! Plus Great school reports.
- Jim and Kathy welcoming their daughter, Jo and Paul her husband back from their six years in Melbourne along with their children, Frances and Noah.
- Hilary and Dom's son Jacob received a gold award for accelerated reading, with over 4 million words and Robbie has recently got into football and scored his first goals in a competitive match.
- Ellie - Got her Level 3 BTEC in Performing Arts (Equivalent of three A levels so that with her three ASs makes her quite highly qualified). In the last year she has taken a number of lead roles in local musical theatre including in 42nd Street, Legally Blonde, Assassins, Ordinary Days, Rent and Carousel. Ellie continues to perform in local concerts and has just got her first job in a call centre which means she can pay her father rent!
- Jon's Phenomenal year. This year he gained eight county records and a national one (disallowed though because it was not shot in a record status competition). Jon is the Junior National Indoor champion for all age groups only dropping 10 points from a maximum of 600. He was invited to shoot for selection for GB and missed out by just 14 points. He has also shot for England this year. He gained silver in the national youth festival. We await his GCSE results with bated breath - hopefully also something to celebrate.
- Georgie – completed two 20 mile cycle rides in the New Forest – including a steep hill that defeated adult cyclists.
- Maggie’s granddaughter, Madeleine won a scholarship to Croydon High School and grandson Gabriel was on the winning under 10 rugby team for the South East. Holly started infant school. Maggie’s son David, finally received his doctorate as a clinical psychologist, Quite an achievement when he and Emma had two young children who were under three when he was studying!
- Ruby can now climb the garden tree and get down again unaided. She has mastered a sequence of tricky moves on the trampoline and should be congratulated for all the good work she has done in home school this past year, to catch up with her peer group.
- Emily smashed her GCSE's so goes to sixth form with chosen options.
- Faith has been asked to do some modelling for a local photographer.
- Edie - elected as house vice captain by the students at her school.
